OfflineTV Acquires Boston Dynamics Robot Dog
OfflineTV, a popular streamer group, has finally fulfilled its months-long tease and purchased a Boston Dynamics robot dog. The group’s members, Michael Reeves and DisguisedToast, discussed their plans for the newest addition to their streaming house in their latest video.
Ideas for the Robot Dog
In previous videos, Reeves and Toast mentioned their plans to make the robot “piss beer.” They revisit this idea as they showcase the robot moving around the house and interacting with Pokimane, LilyPichu, and Scarra. They also discuss the possibility of selling sponsorship spots on the robot to feature various brands in their OfflineTV videos. Other ideas include giving the robot voices, using it as a messenger throughout the house, and attaching various objects to its body.
Purchase Costs and Limitations
According to OfflineTV members and the Boston Dynamics website, the robot dog, named Spot, was purchased for a price between $75,000 and $100,000, excluding additional accessories. However, there are limitations on what can be done with the robot. OfflineTV cannot use it to harm people since it goes against the terms of purchase from Boston Dynamics.
Boost for OfflineTV
The addition of the Boston Dynamics robot dog to OfflineTV’s content is expected to bring a significant boost to their already massive following. Boston Dynamics’ machine content has proven to be highly popular, often garnering millions of views per video.
