WEU Dota 2 Roster Shuffle Begins for Team Liquid

Following The International 2023, Team Liquid found itself in need of a new offlaner as Ludwig “zai” Wåhlberg decided to retire. It didn’t take long for Liquid to find the perfect fit, as fans on Reddit agreed.

Team Liquid Welcomes Neta “33” Shapira

Team Liquid took to Twitter to welcome their newest addition, Neta “33” Shapira, with open arms. They are excited to get to work alongside him.

After achieving legendary success with Tundra, including winning the Aegis of Champions in 2022, Neta “33” Shapira is ready to take on his new venture with Team Liquid. Tundra Esports dominated the Dota 2 scene during TI 2022, sweeping Team Secret in the finals and securing one of the most dominant victories in TI history.

Despite a strong regional performance in 2023, Tundra faced challenges and had to move key player Saksa to the inactive Dota 2 roster before defending their TI12 title. Tundra recruited Topson as a replacement, but the new lineup failed to advance in the tournament after a solid performance in the group stage.

In an interview with in October, Nine hinted that Tundra’s signing of Topson might not last beyond TI 2023 and the team hadn’t made plans for the future. From this uncertainty, the team began to crumble as other organizations picked up Tundra players.

Sneyking and Skiter were picked up by Falcons, while 33 found a new home with Liquid. With Nine choosing to walk away from the game and retire, Tundra’s Dota 2 roster is now left with only Topson, who was signed temporarily.

It remains uncertain whether Tundra will continue to compete with a new Dota 2 squad centered around Topson or disband entirely, leaving Topson without a team at the start of the competitive season once again.
