T1 Extends Contracts for Coach Bengi, Polt, and Moment

T1 Announces Coaching Staff for Next Season

Bae “Bengi” Seong-woong, along with Choi “Polt” Seong-hun and Kim “Moment” Ji-hwan, will coach T1’s League of Legends team in the upcoming season.

T1 has promoted Bengi from T1 Challengers and extended the contracts of Polt, the team’s head coach and general manager, and Moment, the assistant coach.

In a “multi-year deal,” Polt will lead the team going forward. Alongside Son “Stardust” Seok-hee and Moment, who joined from T1’s academy team earlier this year, they successfully turned around T1’s season in 2021, taking over from Yang “Daeny” Dae-in and Lee “Zefa” Jae-min in July.

Under the guidance of the new coaching staff, T1 transformed from a disorganized mess into title contenders and secured a spot in Worlds 2021. They reached the semifinals before losing to DWG KIA, their regional rivals and defending world champions.

Despite T1 Challengers finishing last in the 2021 LCK CL Summer Split with a 5-13 record, Bengi will use his knowledge and experience to build upon T1’s strong foundation next year. As a veteran player and former world champion, his partnership with Faker will also be a valuable asset.
