Twitch Introduces Ads Incentive Program for Streamers
Twitch has launched a new Ads Incentive Program (AIP) for selected Twitch Partners and Affiliates. This program allows creators to personalize the ads that appear on their channel and offers them a flat payout for streaming a specific number of hours with ads.
According to streaming reporter Zach Bussey, the personalized offer varies in price depending on the creator. Each offer includes a set payment and specifies the required ad run-time and total hours streamed.
The offers in the AIP will scale, meaning streamers will receive more money for longer ad spots within the same number of hours streamed. For example, the lowest offer pays $500 for running two minutes of ads per hour and streaming 40 hours in the contract month. The highest offer doubles the incentive in exchange for four minutes of ads per hour and 40 hours streamed.
The AIP provides streamers with an alternative option to relying solely on variable ad revenue. It allows them to have a set number to work towards and better predict a portion of their income when they go live. Even if a streamer doesn’t meet the agreed-upon requirements for their monthly offer, they will still receive variable ad revenue for that month.
The AIP is not yet available to creators, but Twitch has published a blog post about the feature on their website, and more details will be released soon.
