Amouranth: The Controversial Twitch Creator Who’s Making Bank
Amouranth is known for pushing boundaries on Twitch and has become a figure of controversy as part of the “hot tub meta.”
Her edgy content often goes beyond what’s deemed acceptable on the platform, leading to five suspensions since July 2019.
Despite facing criticism for her risqué channel, Amouranth has been one of the highest-paid content creators on Twitch for the past 26 months, according to a recent data breach.
Between August 2019 and October 2021, Twitch reportedly paid $1,378,791 to Amouranth’s channel through subscriptions, ad revenue, and bits. This figure excludes direct donations, sponsorships, and other sources of income.
In addition to Twitch, Amouranth has multiple revenue streams from social media platforms, YouTube, and OnlyFans.
Amouranth ranks as the 48th highest-paid streamer on Twitch during the mentioned period and the second-highest-paid female creator, with Pokimane leading the list.
Despite the suspensions, Amouranth has never faced a ban longer than three days. Thus, the platform’s disciplinary measures likely had little impact on her total earnings over the leaked 26-month period.
In addition to the suspensions, Twitch also temporarily restricted Amouranth’s ability to run advertisements on her channel due to a mistake.
