Steam reveals listing for Artifact, sets placeholder release date in December

Valve’s Dota 2 card game Artifact gets Steam Store listing

Valve’s highly anticipated card game Artifact has taken a step closer to its release with the addition of a Steam Store listing page for the title. However, the release date initially set for December 27 has been changed to simply 2018.

Possible beta key release for Artifact

While there is no certainty about the exact release date, users on Reddit have been speculating that beta keys for Artifact could be included with the Battle Pass or compendium for The International 8. This would at least keep fans satisfied until the game is ready for its official launch.

Closed beta phase underway for Artifact

Artifact is currently in its closed beta phase, allowing industry insiders, select media outlets, and professional players of existing CCG titles like Hearthstone, Magic: The Gathering Online, and Gwent to try out the beta client. There has been no announcement yet regarding an open beta phase, but Valve has confirmed plans to release a mobile version of the game in 2019.
