Rivalry.gg Sponsors Fnatic for TI8 Betting

Southeast Asian Dota 2 Team Fnatic Partners with Rivalry.gg

Southeast Asian Dota 2 team Fnatic has recently entered into a sponsorship deal with London-based esports betting site Rivalry.gg. The announcement comes just before The International 8 tournament.

The Deal

According to a report by The Esports Observer, the main focus of this partnership is to create “educational content” about responsible esports betting. Both Fnatic and Rivalry.gg have plans to expand this series in the future.

As part of the sponsorship agreement, each player on Fnatic will be required to have the Rivalry.gg name on their in-game handles, making Rivalry.gg the team’s title sponsor. Additionally, Rivalry.gg will have a pop-up store called “The Offlane Shop” at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Canada, where The International 8 main event will take place. This store will offer Fnatic merchandise, as well as merchandise from Evil Geniuses and OG.

Participating Teams

All three teams mentioned, Fnatic, Evil Geniuses, and OG, are currently in Vancouver to compete in the world championship tournament.

About Rivalry.gg

Rivalry.gg was launched earlier this year and is registered with the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission. While this is not the first time a gambling company has sponsored a Dota 2 team, Rivalry.gg differentiates itself by being a real-money betting site, as opposed to previous sponsors that dealt exclusively with Dota 2 skins.
