Dota 2 Asia Championships 2017 Teams Finalized
The teams for the 2017 Dota 2 Asia Championships have been finalized after the conclusion of the regional qualifiers. Along with the four invited teams, Evil Geniuses, Newbee, OG, and Wings Gaming, eight teams from around the world have secured their spots in the tournament.
Chinese Teams
- iG Vitality
- Invictus Gaming
- LGD.Forever Young
- Team VG.J
The Chinese region saw Invictus Gaming and Team VG.J come out on top in their respective groups. The remaining two spots were contested by CDEC Gaming, iG Vitality, LGD.Forever Young, and Vici Gaming. LGD.Forever Young and iG Vitality emerged as the final Chinese qualifiers for the event.
Southeast Asian Qualifier
Team Faceless emerged victorious in the eight-team Southeast Asian qualifier. They defeated WarriorsGaming.Unity in the Grand Final to secure their spot in the tournament.
European Qualifier
Team Liquid emerged as the top team in the European qualifier, defeating ‘B)ears’ in the Grand Final to secure their spot in the tournament.
American Qualifier
Team NP came out on top in the American qualifier, defeating Digital Chaos in the Grand Final to secure their spot in the tournament.
CIS Qualifier
Team Empire emerged as the winner of the CIS qualifier, defeating Effect in the Grand Final to secure their spot in the tournament.
With the qualifiers now complete, all eyes are on the 2017 Dota 2 Asia Championships, which will begin on March 28. The tournament is expected to feature fierce competition between the top teams in the world, including Evil Geniuses, OG, and Wings Gaming.
