New Team Joins Digital Chaos following Departure of Previous Roster

North America’s Successful Dota 2 Team Acquires New Roster

After their impressive second-place finish at the International 6, the former roster of Digital Chaos, including Rasmus “MiSeRy” Filipsen, Aliwi “w33” Omar, and David “MoonMeander” Tan, have decided to part ways with the organization. However, they will continue to compete under the name Thunderbirds for the time being.

Team Onyx Takes Over Digital Chaos

Digital Chaos, following the departures of founder Shannon Scotten and general manager Nikki Elise on April 6, has announced that it will now be represented by Team Onyx. Team Onyx made an exceptional run through the North American qualifiers of the upcoming $3 million Kiev Major, defeating NP and compLexity Gaming, among others, to secure their spot in the Valve Major.

Uncertainty Surrounds Departure

The reasons behind Scotten’s departure and the future plans of Digital Chaos’s former roster remain unknown. Nevertheless, they have continued to perform well after their standout performance at the International 6.

Thunderbirds Still Attend Kiev Major

Prior to leaving Digital Chaos, the Thunderbirds roster received an invitation to the Kiev Major. This means that they will still be participating in the $3 million event as planned, making them the first independent roster to compete at a Valve Major.

As Digital Chaos enters the Kiev Major with their new roster, they face the challenge of playing against internationally top-rated opponents in a tournament setting for the first time.
