Team Liquid triumphs over the Heimerdinger challenge presented by Golden Guardians

Team Liquid Claims Comeback Victory Over Golden Guardians

In a thrilling match during the Summer Split, Team Liquid emerged triumphant against Golden Guardians, solidifying their position at the top of the NA LCS standings.

The bout started off poorly for Team Liquid, the reigning champions of the Spring Split. Golden Guardians’ bot lane, utilizing the powerful duo of Heimerdinger and Fiddlesticks, seemed poised to dominate the game from the start. Team Liquid had already given up first blood in the mid lane and their gank attempt in the bot lane only resulted in three free kills for Golden Guardians’ Heimerdinger and Fiddlesticks.

Realizing that they needed to act swiftly to prevent Heimerdinger from snowballing out of control, Team Liquid opted for an aggressive, action-packed strategy. By constantly engaging in skirmishes, even if they didn’t win every fight, Team Liquid managed to even out the gold score. Their goal was to enter the mid game on equal footing.

As the game progressed, Team Liquid’s composition of Gangplank and Varus proved to be superior to that of Golden Guardians. This allowed Team Liquid to secure more victories in teamfights. The only saving grace for Golden Guardians was their top laner, Samson “Lourlo” Jackson, whose well-executed Gnar ultimates turned the tide in some lost teamfights.

However, even Lourlo’s impressive Gnar ultimates were not enough to stop Team Liquid once they gained control of both the Baron and Elder Drake.

With a current record of 7-4, Team Liquid will now focus on their upcoming match against Clutch Gaming on July 29.
