Team Liquid part ways with Jensen, ending their contract

Team Liquid Terminates Contract of Mid Laner Jensen

Team Liquid has terminated the contract of LCS mid laner Jensen, according to a source. Jensen had signed a three-year extension with the organization over a year ago, reportedly worth more than $4 million.

In a tweet, Liquid expressed gratitude for Jensen’s contributions to the LCS team and acknowledged their successes together, including winning LCS Championships and making it to the MSI Finals and Worlds multiple times.

Jensen joined Liquid in 2019 after leaving Cloud9. During his three years with Liquid, he achieved two LCS split titles, made three consecutive appearances at Worlds, and finished as the runner-up in the 2019 Mid-Season Invitational.

Despite starting the season strong with a victory in the LCS Lock-In event, Jensen and Liquid failed to secure any more championships. Following a disappointing performance at Worlds, Jensen hinted that he might not be playing in the LCS in 2022, suggesting he could be benched or released by Liquid.

Although many LCS teams have already finalized their rosters, Jensen’s experience and skill could attract interest from other North American teams.
