Riot launches the latest season of North America’s exclusive Champions Queue

New Spring Split of LCS Begins in North America

The new year brings a new season for the LCS as the 2023 Spring Split kicks off on January 26. This also means that the exclusive west-coast-based League of Legends server will be opening.

Champions Queue Opens for Professionals and High-Level Players

The highly competitive Champions Queue will be available for all professionals and high-level players from 10pm CT to 4am CT. This invite-only matchmaking experience is hosted on a private Discord server.

Exciting Rewards for Top Players

Throughout the year, there will be two seasons where players will compete for the top spot in the standings. Each season lasts approximately one month and offers significant monetary rewards for the top leaderboard finishers.

For the upcoming Spring Split, the player who ends at the top of the charts will receive a prize of $25,000. Second place will win over $12,000, while third to fifth-place players will earn $2,500 each. Players from sixth to 10th place will earn $1,000 each.

Previous Top Earners in Champions Queue

In 2022, Team Liquid Challengers’ AD carry Arrow earned the highest amount in the Champions Queue with $47,000. Cloud9’s support Zven held a total of $37,000 in prize earnings. Former Liquid jungler Armao came in third place with $31,000, followed by CLG top laner Dhokla and former C9 support Isles in the fourth and fifth positions.
