Cloud9 Dominates the 2020 LCS Spring Split
Cloud9 has been on fire since the start of the 2020 LCS Spring Split. With their recent win against FlyQuest, which they also swept in the LCS Spring Finals in April, Cloud9 has now won 27 out of their last 29 games. Furthermore, in all six games against FlyQuest this season, Cloud9 has emerged victorious in under 40 minutes.
Cloud9: The Top Team in North America
At the moment, Cloud9 is considered the undisputed top team in League of Legends in North America. However, Licorice, one of Cloud9’s players, believes that there are still areas where the team can improve. According to Licorice, the team is currently focusing on making higher-percentage plays, prioritizing strategic setups over individual outplays.
Rivals Team Liquid and TSM Seek Redemption
While Cloud9 continues to dominate, two former LCS powerhouses, Team Liquid and TSM, are aiming to reclaim their lost glory. Team Liquid, the current LCS titleholders from the previous split, and TSM, who have reunited several members from their 2017 championship-winning roster, are determined to make a comeback.
Licorice’s Views on TSM and Team Liquid
Licorice, however, is not convinced that TSM will make a successful return to top-level play. He believes that Team Liquid poses a greater threat to Cloud9’s chances of sweeping the LCS split titles this year. Licorice is excited to watch Team Liquid’s performance and looks forward to facing them on stage. As for TSM, he feels that they may be overhyped at the moment and cautions against jumping to conclusions before seeing their performance on stage.
C9 will face TSM on July 11th, while their matchup against Team Liquid is scheduled for June 26th on Friday Night League.
