Team SoloMid Trying Out New Player for AD Carry Position

Team SoloMid is making a bold move in their quest for a World Championship title. Despite being in second place in the League Championship Series standings, Team SoloMid has decided to try out Yuri “KEITHMCBRIEF” Jew for the AD carry position, potentially benching Jason “WildTurtle” Tran.

In a video released on newsoflegends, Andy “Reginald” Dinh explained the reasoning behind this decision. He emphasized that Tran is not being permanently benched, but the team wants to explore other options and motivate Tran to improve his performance.

After a disappointing Midseason Invitational, where Team SoloMid’s performance was criticized, Dinh had discussions with Tran about his play. While Marcus “Dyrus” Hill took the feedback to heart and showed improvement, Tran has not shown any progress.

Tran’s positioning has been a problem, both in and out of the lane, which is becoming a more significant issue as the competition gets stronger. His statistics in this Split, such as low damage per minute and KDA, also indicate a decline in performance compared to other AD carry players.

Enter Yuri “KEITHMCBRIEF” Jew, who had a successful stint with Team Liquid last season. Jew had impressive damage per minute and KDA, although he struggled in the laning phase. Since he graduated from high school, he is now available to pursue a professional career in League of Legends.

If Jew proves himself during practice sessions, he may get some playtime in games. While the team will miss Tran’s personality, they seem to have found a similar positive attitude in Jew.

Currently, Jew is still under contract with Team Liquid Academy, but Team Liquid owner Steve “Liquid122” Arhancet has agreed to let Jew try out for Team SoloMid.

Overall, this move may seem desperate for a team that is currently at the top of the LCS standings. However, after their disappointing performance at MSI, it’s understandable that they want to make changes to avoid a repeat of that tournament.

When aiming to compete at the highest level, tough decisions must be made. Team SoloMid is willing to take risks in their pursuit of a World Championship title.
