Former LCS Veteran Hai Du Lam Starts His Own Esports Organization and Signs League of Legends Roster

Former LCS player Hai Du Lam has announced the launch of his own esports organization. He has wasted no time in recruiting a League of Legends roster for his organization, Radiance. The team includes Cuong “Aetheres” Ta, Nathan “OddOrange” Ryan, Jackson “KatEvolved” Dohan, Robert “Jurassiq” Mabansag, and Olivier “Winter” Lapointe.

Aetheres, Jurassiq, and Winter were all previously on Team Buff Katarina, which emerged victorious in the 2018 Tyler1 Championships Series. KatEvolved, on the other hand, competed in the tournament with Team E Turner but fell short against Buff Katarina in the Grand Finals.

Experienced Solo Queue Players Join Radiance

All five members of the Radiance roster are highly ranked solo queue players in North America. Some of them even have professional League play experience. Aetheres, formerly known as Flaresz, played in the LCS with Enemy Esports, Winterfox, Renegades, and Team Dragon Knights between 2015 and 2016. OddOrange had a stint on Echo Fox’s Academy team, Jurassiq played for Golden Guardians’ Academy team in early 2018, and Winter acted as a substitute for Cloud9 in 2017 and played for OpTic Academy in the first three months of 2018. KatEvolved is the only player who comes directly from the solo queue scene, where he has maintained a challenger rank for four years as a Katarina one-trick.

Development of the Amateur League Scene

Hai took to the League of Legends subreddit to address the lack of an amateur league scene. He expressed his intentions to work with Riot to develop the amateur scene and help players in their professional and personal growth.
