G2 Esports Signs Strategic Coach for 2021 LEC Summer Split

G2 Esports, the renowned esports team, has wasted no time in preparing for the upcoming season. They have officially announced the signing of Sng “Nelson” Yi-Wei as their strategic coach for the 2021 LEC Summer Split.

Nelson, a highly experienced coach, has previously worked with reputable organizations such as Hong Kong Attitude, Vivo Keyd from Brazil, and most recently, LNG Esports from the LPL. He has also been a guest on the LPL analyst desk in 2019 and contributed to the official LPL broadcast for Worlds 2019.

Nelson will join Grabbz in G2’s quest to reclaim their LEC crown from MAD Lions, after falling short in the previous split. According to reports, several organizations in the European league had also offered Nelson a position last month.

Unfortunately, the 2021 Spring Split was a major disappointment for G2, considering their amazing track record of winning the previous four seasons. Moreover, their performance did not meet expectations even after acquiring Rekkles, a star AD carry, from their rivals Fnatic. This made them the favorites of both fans and analysts. However, G2 ended the season with an early exit from the playoffs at the hands of Rogue.

G2 has faced numerous issues throughout the season, including poor team coordination during matches. Despite this, veteran jungler Jankos expressed his desire to “take the lead” during their last playoff run. It remains uncertain whether this is still the case or if they have found another solution to their current problems.

The 2021 LEC Summer Split kicks off on Friday, June 11, and fans will have the chance to see G2 in action.
