League of Legends is gearing up for its next update, Patch 14.7, which is expected to be one of the biggest patches of the 2024 season. Alongside the highly anticipated Skarner rework, there are several other major changes coming with this update. Enchanter supports will see adjustments, there will be changes to LP gains and losses, and April Fools’ cosmetics will be introduced. When will League Patch 14.7 go live?
League of Legends Patch 14.7 is scheduled to be released on Wednesday, April 3. Riot will provide detailed patch notes a week prior to the release, with the extended patch preview expected in late March and the official patch notes in early April.
What’s new in League Patch 14.7?
Skarner steals the show
The biggest update in Patch 14.7 is the long-awaited Skarner rework. This update includes a complete visual and graphic overhaul of the champion. The rework was voted on by the League community more than two years ago, and now players will finally get to experience the changes.
Enchanter supports continue to get tweaked
Riot is continuing to make adjustments to Enchanter supports, focusing on reducing their damage output and enhancing their utility abilities and heals. Champions such as Karma, Nami, and Sona will see changes in Patch 14.7.
LP changes could make ranked climbing harder
In Patch 14.7, a change to LP gains and losses will make it more difficult to regain rank after a demotion. Instead of starting at 75 LP, players will now start at 50 LP, meaning it will take at least three matches to get back to their previous rank.
April Fools 2024 skin line is super silly
As is tradition, League Patch 14.7 will coincide with the April Fools‘ event, bringing a new set of whimsical skins to the game. This year’s additions include skins for Ornn, Twitch, Rammus, Cho’gath, and Zac.
