Welcome to PAGCor: Meet the New President and Chief Operating Officer

The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCor) has a new leader at its helm. Today, PAGCor welcomed lawyer Wilma Eisma as its new President and Chief Operating Officer. She took her oath of office before Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin in a ceremony held at Malacanang.

PAGCor Chairman Alejandro Tengco expressed his happiness with Eisma’s appointment, stating, “We know she will be a great asset, and her vast experience in both the government and private sectors will surely be put to good use here.”

Eisma’s formal induction coincided with her participation in the agency’s first-ever board meeting as its female President and Chief Operating Officer. This milestone event demonstrates PAGCor’s commitment to diversity and inclusivity.

A Woman of Accomplishments

Before joining PAGCor, Eisma had an impressive professional background. She holds a law degree from the Ateneo de Manila University and was previously a member of the Board of Directors of the Development Bank of the Philippines. Moreover, she served as the first female Administrator and Chairman of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA), showcasing her exemplary leadership skills.

In the private sector, Eisma held notable positions in PMFTC Incorporated, the Philippine affiliate of Philip Morris International. Her expertise and experiences in various industries make her well-equipped to take on the role of President and Chief Operating Officer at PAGCor.

A Legacy of Success

Wilma Eisma’s appointment comes after the resignation of Atty Juanito Sanosa Jr, the former President and Chief Operating Officer of PAGCor. As Eisma assumes her new responsibilities, she inherits a legacy of success and growth within the organization.

PAGCor, under the leadership of Chairman Alejandro Tengco, has consistently demonstrated its commitment to the gaming industry’s regulation and promotion in the Philippines. With Eisma now at the forefront, PAGCor aims to continue its positive trajectory and enhance its contributions to the nation’s economy.

Looking Ahead

As PAGCor’s new President and Chief Operating Officer, Wilma Eisma’s appointment signals a progressive step towards greater gender diversity and inclusivity in the industry. With her expertise, experience, and vision, she is well-positioned to lead PAGCor into the future.

The gaming industry in the Philippines holds significant potential for growth, and PAGCor is poised to play a pivotal role in shaping its trajectory. With Eisma’s leadership, the organization is expected to navigate the evolving landscape and seize opportunities for sustainable development.
