Company’s Contour.v Terminals Will Modernize Transactions for WestLotto’s Players and Retailers

Scientific Games and Germany’s WestLotto technology teams have joined forces to bring camera-based retail technology to the Lottery’s retailers in Germany’s most populous state, North Rhine-Westphalia. The aim is to provide a more modern and transparent experience for both retailers and players. The company’s high-performance Contour.v terminals will be installed across WestLotto’s network of over 3,000 retail outlets, starting from April 2025.

Andreas Kötter, Managing Director for Westdeutsche Lotterie GmbH & Co. OHG, expressed his excitement about this collaboration, stating that working with Scientific Games is helping to modernize their retail network. The introduction of camera-based terminals represents the next step in digitizing transactions in their retail environments. Positive reactions are anticipated from both retailers and players.

The Contour.v terminals by Scientific Games feature contactless player interactions and mobile scanning capabilities, leveraging the company’s new-era optical technology. These terminals were designed to meet the evolving market demand in integrated lottery retail and digital environments. They offer an easily viewable and accessible ticket scan area and HD screens that can be configured for both clerks and players. The sleek design of the terminals eliminates unnecessary parts, enhancing reliability. Advanced optics technology ensures speedy service, while ongoing software upgrades provide flexibility and options for processing.
