Mars Joins Dota 2 as a New Hero
Mars, the God of War and First son of Heaven, has joined the battle of the Ancients in Dota 2.
Mars is a powerful melee character with multiple roles, including carry, initiator, disabler, and durable. After spending a long existence waging wars, Mars decided to claim his birthright and bring his might to the battle of the Ancients.
Mars’ Abilities
Mars fights using a shield and spear combo, utilizing them for his various abilities. His first ability is Spear of Mars, where he throws his legendary spear to damage and skewer enemy units. If a skewered hero hits a tree, building, or cliff, they will be impaled and stunned.
Mars’ second ability is God’s Rebuke, where he smashes enemies in front of him with his shield, knocking them back and dealing critical hits. The assault also adds bonus damage when hitting heroes.
His third ability is Bulwark, which allows Mars to block a portion of physical attacks when struck from the front or sides using his massive shield.
Mars’ final and most devastating ability is Arena of Blood. He summons an arena lined with undead warriors that block enemy attacks and movement. Enemy heroes near the inside edge of the arena will be attacked by spears, dealing damage and knocking them back.
