Hanwha Life Esports secures playoff spot in 2021 LCK Spring Split with a remarkable display from Chovy

Hanwha Life Esports Secure Spot in 2021 LCK Spring Playoffs

Hanwha Life Esports secured their spot in the 2021 LCK Spring Split playoffs today. They achieved this after a clean sweep victory over Afreeca Freecs, bouncing back from a 2-0 loss to Gen.G last week.

Chovy Dominates in MVP Performance

Chovy stole the show in both games today and was awarded the MVP votes. His performance in this League of Legends series was tremendous. He played as Aatrox and Viktor, annihilating his opponents. In the second match, Chovy reached 250 CS at 20 minutes and had high kill participation from the mid-lane.

One-Sided Matches for HLE

In the first match, Afreeca Freecs showed up in the early game and traded evenly with HLE. However, once the mid-game phase began, HLE started dominating in every lane. They took advantage of their opponent’s mistakes and snowballed the game with their superior map coverage. After a couple of dominant fights, HLE convincingly won the first match.

The second match was even more one-sided with HLE delivering a better early-game performance. Both solo laners were ahead, allowing HLE to snowball the game out of control and secure victory in the second match and the series.

Playoff Spot Secured, but HLE Aims for Higher Standing

With this victory, HLE (9-5) currently stands in fourth place in the 2021 LCK Spring Split standings. Even if they were to lose their remaining four matches, they would still secure a playoff spot. While this relieves some pressure from the players, they are determined to climb higher in the standings for a better spot in the playoffs.
