Less than 24 hours after the launch of the new season in Fortnite: Battle Royale, Epic Games was forced to take the game’s servers offline. The developer is currently investigating issues with matchmaking and login, prompting the decision to investigate the root cause further at 7:55pm CT.

Season Five Disrupted by Server Issues

Season five in Fortnite went live at 3am CT this morning, giving players approximately 17 hours to explore the game’s newest features before encountering server problems.

It appears that these issues are affecting all platforms, with Epic Games’ status page mentioning PlayStation party issues specifically.
