Fortnite: Battle Royale Update Coming Soon
In the near future, players can expect one of the final updates of the current Fortnite: Battle Royale season.
Latest Update and Potential Changes
The most recent update, v7.40, was released on Thursday, Feb. 14. This update introduced the new Infantry Rifle, Overtime challenges, and various balance adjustments.
Potential New Update
There is likely to be another update released this week. It may either be v7.50 or a content update for v7.40, but it’s predicted to be a content update.
Driftboard on the Way
The highly-anticipated Driftboard is expected to be the highlight of the next major Fortnite update. Epic Games announced that it will be “coming soon” to the game.
More Overtime Challenges
In addition to the upcoming update, more Overtime challenges will be added to Fortnite this week. By completing 13 of them, players can earn the season eight Battle Pass for free.
More Earthquakes
Fortnite is experiencing earthquakes, causing cracks to appear on the in-game map. The purpose of these cracks is unknown but may be revealed in the upcoming update.
Balance Adjustments
As with any Fortnite update, balance changes are expected. Epic Games will likely make adjustments to items and weapons in the game.
The release date for the next major Fortnite update has not yet been announced. It is possible that the v7.40 content update will be released on Feb. 21, which would likely be the final update before season seven ends on Feb. 28.
