The Fifth Season of DotA Pit League Reaches Final Stage
The fifth season of the DotA Pit League is reaching its final stage, with the LAN finals set to begin in just a few days. The brackets for the finals have been announced and the anticipation is building for this exciting event.
After some twists and turns with the invites and the qualifications, the final lineup of teams that will battle it out for the championship is now finalized. The eight teams that will be competing in Split, Croatia are as follows:
- Team Secret
- Team Faceless
- Invictus Gaming
- Evil Geniuses
- Digital Chaos
- Elements Pro Gaming
The initial prize pool for the tournament was set at $125,000 USD, but it has since been increased through the sale of in-game tickets and cosmetics. As of Jan. 16, 2017, the total prize pool is now $136,345 USD. The tournament is scheduled to start on Jan. 19 and will run until Jan. 22. With plenty of big names in the mix, the competition for the lion’s share of the prize pool and the championship title will be fierce.
