Talon Esports Officially Signs 23savage to Dota 2 Roster

Talon Esports has officially signed 23savage to its Dota 2 roster for the upcoming Dota Pro Circuit Tour. The community had already pieced together the move, but it was officially confirmed yesterday. This signing comes after Talon also recently signed Worawit “Q” Mekchai and finalized the team’s roster for the Southeast Asia Division II regional league.

23savage’s Journey from T1 to Talon Esports

Earlier, 23savage was moved to T1’s inactive roster ahead of the SEA Regional League Final. As a result, Talon’s former position one player Gabbi joined T1 as a stand-in for the event. Eventually, T1 signed Gabbi permanently, leaving 23savage’s future uncertain.

Now, 23savage joins Q and the existing Talon core of Rafli Fathur “Mikoto” Rahman, kpii, and Brizio Adi “Hyde” Putra Budiana as the team’s carry. The 19-year-old star recently played with Motivate.Trust Gaming as a stand-in for the BTS Pro Series Season 10.

Rumors and Clues Led to the Announcement

Rumors about 23savage joining Talon started surfacing even before the official announcement. Fans noticed a clue in one of his Instagram stories, where he was seen leaving Thailand and walking around a house that appeared to be set up for a boot camp. Additionally, Talon had previously announced that the team would be bootcamping in the Philippines, which added to the speculation.

The signing of 23savage completes Talon’s roster shuffle, which saw the team parting ways with Fly and Gabbi. The decision was influenced by a difference in mindset, ever-changing circumstances surrounding the roster, and poor performance.
