Former TNC coach Kipspul joins forces with Vega Squadron

Kipspul joins Vega Squadron as new Dota 2 coach

Murielle “Kipspul” Huisman, a former coach of TNC Pro Team and renowned Dota 2 analyst, is now part of the Russian team Vega Squadron. The news was announced on Vega Squadron’s official website and shared by Kipspul herself on Twitter.

This is a significant move as it marks the first time that a CIS-region team has hired a foreign coach, according to the organization. Georgy “drAmer” Faleev, the esports director of Vega Squadron, mentioned in the announcement that they had previously tried hiring CIS coaches without success.

DrAmer also revealed that they had been considering hiring Kipspul since late April, but postponed the decision when Vega Squadron’s Dota 2 team gained momentum before the Kiev Major.

There may be concerns about the cultural differences and language barrier affecting Kipspul’s ability to coach Vega effectively. However, given her experience in coaching teams from diverse backgrounds, such concerns are likely unwarranted.

Kipspul, expressing her enthusiasm, stated, “This is a dedicated squad with vast potential. Last year I predicted Vega Squadron to make The International 7 in my compendium. This year, I will do everything in my power to ensure their presence at TI8.”

A few weeks ago, Kipspul left TNC and shared her departure on Twitter. She also wrote a blog post explaining her reasons for the move. During her time with TNC, she helped the Filipino squad achieve third place at Galaxy Battles and become the first team to qualify for TI7 through the Southeast Asia regional qualifiers.
