The Bucharest Minor playoffs kicked off with EHOME continuing their domination from the group stage. They remained undefeated with a flawless 4-0 record. In a rematch against Keen Gaming, who they defeated during the qualifiers, EHOME proved that their previous victory was not a fluke.
EHOME secured a swift 2-0 victory, controlling game one and fending off Keen Gaming’s comeback attempt in game two. With a tournament-best 6-0 record, EHOME advances to the upper bracket finals and secures a top three finish.
Gambit Esports Stuns OG with Dominating Performance
Gambit Esports faced off against OG in a rematch of the WePlay! Winter Madness Finals. Gambit had previously dominated OG in that series, and this time was no different for the reigning International champions. Gambit completely outclassed OG in every aspect of the game.
Gambit swiftly finished off game one in just 29 minutes, and game two in a mere 19 minutes. They completely overwhelmed OG, leaving them no chance to recover. This victory lands Gambit in the upper bracket finals, where they will face EHOME.
Ninjas in Pyjamas and Team Team Advance
Ninjas in Pyjamas (NiP) put an end to Playmakers Esports’ poor performance with a convincing 2-0 victory in the second round. Meanwhile, Team Team pulled off the only upset in the playoffs so far by eliminating BOOM ID with a 2-1 victory.
NiP will face OG in the next round, while Team Team goes up against Keen Gaming in the upcoming matches.
