Rogue Gaming has secured a spot in the upcoming FACEIT London Major, making them the first team of this Valve Major cycle to achieve this milestone.

The North American team put up a fierce fight in the Americas Minor, emerging as the winners of their group and winning two playoff matches to secure their spot in the 13th Major in CS:GO history. Rogue dominated their group with victories over Team Dignitas (Dust II 16-10) and compLexity Gaming (Inferno 16-13). Led by veteran star Spencer “Hiko” Martin, who last competed in a Major in January 2017 (ELEAGUE Atlanta), as well as Daniel “vice” Kim and Casper “cadiaN” Moller, Rogue showcased their skills in these matches. Hiko, vice, and cadiaN recorded impressive frag counts of 23 kills each. The team’s firepower would later prove crucial in their playoff matches.

In the semifinals of the Minor, CadiaN and Ricardo “Rickeh” Mulholland led Rogue’s charge against eUnited, winning the series 2-1. They achieved an incredible 16-2 victory on Train and secured a close 16-12 win on Inferno, earning themselves a place in the upper bracket final where they faced compLexity Gaming.

In their match against compLexity Gaming, Rogue faced tough competition. The first map, Mirage, went into overtime with compLexity’s Jacob “yay” Whiteaker delivering an impressive 38 kills. However, Rogue emerged victorious, securing a 19-17 scoreline, mostly through a dominant T side performance. In the second map, Dust II, Rogue continued their strong gameplay and closed out the series with a 16-11 win. Hiko also contributed significantly with 30 kills in their map two victory, completing the sweep.

With their 2-0 victory over compLexity Gaming, Rogue has secured their place in the grand final of the Americas Minor. In the final, they will be competing against NRG Esports, eUnited, or compLexity Gaming to secure a higher seed in the first stage of the Major, known as the New Challenger stage.
