Changes to Patch 7.13 Adjust Tower Gold Rewards and Revamp Attribute Bonuses

The latest balance update for Dota 2 has been released by developer and publisher Valve. The update, called Patch 7.13, focuses on tweaking various non-hero numbers and also includes changes to each hero’s primary attribute bonuses.

One of the major changes in this patch is the reduction of tower kill bounties, making it less economically rewarding to push towers early in the game. This change is expected to slow down the pace of the game and could potentially affect certain item timings.

Here are the tower bounty changes:

  • Tier 1 Tower Team Bounty reduced from 120 to 100
  • Tier 2 Tower Team Bounty reduced from 200 to 120
  • Tier 3 Tower Team Bounty reduced from 200 to 140
  • Tier 4 Tower Team Bounty reduced from 200 to 160

The ranged barracks bounty has also been reduced from 150 to 100 gold, and the bounty for filler buildings has been decreased from 125 to 75 gold each.

Another significant change in this update is the reworking of primary attributes and their associated bonuses. Class-specific perks have been completely removed, which means strength heroes no longer receive status resistance, agility heroes lose the movement speed bonus, and intelligence heroes no longer gain more magic resistance as their attribute grows. Instead, each hero now has access to all three perks, but at a slightly reduced rate per attribute point. Additionally, a hero’s primary attribute now provides an additional 25 percent benefit to the bonuses it normally provides.

The update is already live and will directly impact gameplay at the ongoing StarLadder ImbaTV Invitational in Kiev, Ukraine. It is expected to be a major topic of discussion at the analyst desk.
