The Return of Rebirth Island Confirmed by Warzone Developers

The Call of Duty community has long suspected it, and now the Warzone devs have officially confirmed that Rebirth Island will be making its triumphant return in the upcoming Season Three of CoD: MW3. Players can get a first look at this iconic map in the trailer that will be released on March 26 at 10am CT. The exact start date of Season Three is yet to be announced, but based on the current battle pass, it is expected to begin on April 3, 2024.

Warzone initially introduced the Alcatraz-inspired remake of Rebirth Island in 2020. However, the map was removed in November 2022 with the launch of Warzone 2. Ever since then, the community has been eagerly requesting the return of Rebirth Island, and their wish is about to come true. Warzone Mobile was recently released on March 21, featuring Rebirth Island as one of its primary battle royale maps. Console and PC players, who preferred to have the map on their own platforms, don’t have to wait much longer for its release.

It remains uncertain whether the devs plan to remake Rebirth Island or release a remastered version. In a previous update, when Raven Software added Fortune’s Keep back in Season Two Reloaded, the map underwent changes, including the effects of a devastating earthquake, altered POIs, and a massive crater in the center. The upcoming trailer will reveal all the necessary details about the return of Rebirth Island.
