MDL Macau 2019 Announced
As we approach the end of 2018, several upcoming esports tournaments have already announced their dates for the upcoming year. The latest addition to this list is MDL Macau 2019, which is scheduled to take place in February.
Last year, MDL Macau 2018 was a part of the Dota Pro Circuit and was held from December 8 to 10. However, this time around, the event will not be a DPC event but will still offer the same prize pool.
Teams and Qualifiers
MDL Macau 2019 will feature a total of eight teams competing for a prize pool of $300,000. Five teams will receive direct invites, while two teams will be decided through the China Qualifier. The final spot will be awarded to the sixth season winner of the Dota 2 Professional League.
So far, PSG Esports and Virtus Pro have already been confirmed as returning teams for the tournament. It is expected that teams like OG and Natus Vincere, who have previously participated and performed well, will also be invited to compete.
Tournament Details
The highly-anticipated competition will take place from February 20 to 24. Mars Media, the organizers of the event, have promised that the tournament will showcase eight of the finest teams in the world. The dates for the China Qualifier will be announced in the near future.
